Jack Phillips

Jack James Phillips is an English professional goalkeeper who plays for Sheffield Wednesday.

Phillips joined Wednesday’s academy from Southampton in 2022 and continued his development through the Owls’ youth system.

After progressing into the Under-21 squad, he signed a new professional contract with Sheffield Wednesday on 3 July 2024.

Phillips established himself as a regular at development level during the 2024/25 season. His performances also earned him opportunities to train with the senior goalkeeping group alongside James Beadle, Ben Hamer and fellow academy graduate Pierce Charles.

The young goalkeeper travelled with the first team for Championship fixtures, including trips to Hull City and Blackburn Rovers, although he did not make a competitive senior appearance during the campaign.

Wednesday entered discussions with Phillips over an extended contract in April 2025 amid reported interest from other clubs. He remained under contract for the 2025/26 season and continued to feature for the Under-21s while spending time around the senior squad.

In May 2026, Sheffield Wednesday confirmed that Phillips had been offered another contract as the club prepared for the following season.
